RMYC projects include building and maintaining trails, bridges, and fences, watershed restoration, campgrounds and parks, beetle kill mitigation, and hazardous fuels reduction. The program incorporates comprehensive education focusing on career development, leadership, healthy lifestyles, environmental education, and civic and social responsibility.  The residential nature allows for deep and thorough involvement with this educational component. Conservation Corps participants are paid modest wages for their service and are eligible to receive AmeriCorps education awards for higher education expenses.
