Hot Sulphur Springs Trail Project

The 2011 trail crew leaders and assistant crew leaders worked on a semi existing trail that needed to be improved. The crew installed a number of wooden steps near a vehicle bridge that passes over the Colorado River, as well as installing some wooden boardwalks and bridges along the trail.

The crew worked on the muddy trails, grubbing out the vegetation in order to better define and enforce the trail. The trail was topped off with a large quantity of pea-gravel placed on the trail to define and take away the wetness. When this project was finished, the trail became the perfect place for fishermen, picnics, and a nice view of the beautiful Colorado River.
