Service Learning crew!
Applications for SLC crews will open February 1st, 2020. Announcements for placements will begin on March 1st. Acceptance into program will be solidified upon completion of paperwork. Please contact us if you would like documents in Spanish or need support! 
Youth with incomplete paperwork one week from program start may forfeit their placement. 
Routt Session Dates: 

SESSION ONE: June 8th- June 12th (M-F, 8am-4pm), June 15th-June 19th (24/7 camping)

SESSION TWO: June 22th- June 26th (M-F, 8am-4pm), June 29th- July 3rd (24/7 camping)

SESSION THREE: July 6th- July 10th (M-F, 8am-4pm), July 13th- July 17th (24/7 camping)

SESSION FOUR: July 20th- July 24th (M-F, 8am-4pm), July 27th- July 31st (24/7 camping)

SESSION FIVE: August 3rd- August 7th (M-F, 8am-4pm), August 10th- August 14th (24/7 camping)

Who: 11-13 year olds
What: A youth community service program that provides education and experience in citizenship, volunteerism, community service, and self-development for youth.  SLC uses a crew-based format with 10 crew members (youth) and 2 crew leaders who facilitate curriculum and engage in service projects. 
Expectations: Each SLC session is two weeks long. Each day is 8am-4pm Monday through Friday, the last Thursday of each session youth camp out with us overnight! RMYC provides tents and for the campout as well as 
dinner, breakfast, and lunch for Thursday night and Friday day. we are happy to accommodate for any food allergies. Other camping gear needs are available upon request. Each day consists of approximately 3 hours of volunteer activities, 1-2 hours of education, and 3 hours of team recreation time. 
Why: SLC enhances the sense of belonging and connectedness of youth to their communities through meaningful outdoor-based service projects, education, and group recreation activities.
Service: Participants will be volunteering approximately 3 hours each day in service projects that include gardening, planting trees and flowers, trash pick-up, light trail work and other community beautification projects. Youth will receive documentation of these hours which are recognized by the school

Education: Consists of job readiness, leadership skills, life skills training, environmental education, and civic and social responsibility.
