YOUTH CREWS

YOUTH Crew (Ages 14-18)

Through our Youth Programs, RMYC provides leadership and hands-on workforce experience for youth ages 14-18. Participants provide service to communities including beautifying, weeding, trail work, restoration, gardening, and other conservation-based projects in 10 counties in North West Colorado each year. RMYC offers a diverse set of skills training opportunities including trail work, environmental restoration, and wildlife habitat management.

Being part of an RMYC crew involves spending two weeks working with a team of 8-10 people and completing meaningful conservation projects throughout northwest Colorado. Corps members complete sustainability-based projects during the week and have to opportunity to camp with their crew. Participation involves hard work in harsh conditions but makes for amazing memories and experiences.

Help with transportation can be arranged.  Two Crew Leaders supervise, facilitate education curriculum, and engage in conservation-based projects with 8-10 youth  RMYC provides all of the materials for the crew to set up an efficient and effective camp where the crew cooks meals. Personal camping supplies (tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, etc.) can be brought by the crewmember or provided by RMYC.
