ADVENTURERS
GRADES 6 + 7

Session Dates, Registration Link and Membership Application Information

Adventurers' sessions are two weeks long.

Sessions operate incrementally from June 8 to August 6, 2026.

There will be no youth programs operating the week of July 6-10. 

 

2026 Session Dates

Session 1: June 8-June 18

Session 2: June 22-July 2

Session 3: July 13-July 23

Session 4: July 27-August 6

In the first week of the session, youth attend Monday through Thursday, 8:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The general schedule is that service projects are completed in the morning, and recreation activities take place in the afternoon.

 

In the second week of the session, youth attend Monday through Thursday. On Monday, the program operates from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. On Tuesday, members start at 8 AM to go on a frontcountry overnight Tuesday and Wednesday, returning Thursday. The session concludes with parent pickup at noon on the second Thursday of the session. 

Upon applying for a position in youth programs, you will be placed into an Application Block based on the date in which you applied

For example, if you applied on February 3rd, you will receive an email between March 2 and March 13.

Each Application Block has a notification window.

The notification window indicates when you can anticipate an offer OR waitlist email. Please review the dates below.

Application Block 1: February 2 - February 28

Notification Window: March 2-March 13

Application Block 2: March 1-March 15

Notification Window: March 16-March 27

Application Block 3: March 16-April 3

Notification Window: April 6-April 17

Application Block 4: April 4 and beyond

**​Note: Members are offered a space in our programs on a first come first served basis with an emphasis on equal community representation and gender identification. 

A Day in the Life

YCC Adventurers is designed for youth entering grades 6 and 7. Members will engage in 2-3 hours of service during all day programming. The following is a schedule of project days.

8:00 AM

Drop Off and Group Activity


YCC Adventurers are dropped off at the Transit Center at 8am every day (unless coming from Moffat County - see FAQs for more information). The crew will engage in a group activity/game before heading out to their project site. 

9:00 AM

Learn about the Project Goals, Stretch and Safety Circle


The project day starts with a stretch and safety circle. This involves warm-up stretching and exercises, discussing the goals of the project, and going through risk management that might be involved on the project. Then, the crew will transition to starting their project. 

10:00 AM-
Noon

Service hours!

 

There are roughly two hours spent completing service hours with breaks throughout.

Lunch Break

Crews take a 30-minute lunch break.

3:00 PM 

Recreation/Experiential Learning Activities

Swimming, hiking, environmental education activities, climbing, biking, debrief of the day, group dynamic activities, and more!
